Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Perform the pressure relief fuel line venting procedure. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Cylinder Head Assembly/Fuel Pressure
Release/Service and Repair
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor.
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor
1. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
2. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor.
Installation
Note: Replace the fuel tank pressure sensor O- ring seal.
Note: Lubricate the fuel tank pressure sensor O- ring seal with 5W30 engine oil meeting Ford specification ESE-M2C153-E or equivalent prior to
installation, to help seal and ease the installation.
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Torques
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
