License Plate Lamp: Testing and Inspection

Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the parking lamps.
2. Visually inspect for the following obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical

Damaged multi-function switch

^

Damaged headlamp switch

Electrical
^

Blown fuse

^

Damaged wiring harness

^

Loose or corroded connections

^

Damaged parking lamp relay

^

Damaged parking, rear or license lamp

3. If the concern is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to Symptom Chart. See: Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
