Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair
Rear Cable and Conduit
REMOVAL
1. Relieve the tension on the parking brake system.

Pull the front parking brake cable and conduit.

Insert a suitable retainer.
NOTE: Make sure the parking brake control is fully released.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING,
JACKING OR TOWING AN AIR SUSPENSION VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY TURNING OFF THE AIR
SUSPENSION SWITCH LOCATED IN THE RH KICK PANEL AREA. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN RESULT IN UNEXPECTED
INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS, WHICH CAN RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE
OPERATIONS.
3. Disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit from the RH parking brake rear cable and conduit.

Pull the RH parking brake rear cable and conduit forward to unclip it from the front parking brake cable and conduit.
