Oil Filter Adapter: Service and Repair
Remote Adapter
REMOVAL
WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING,
JACKING OR TOWING AN AIR SUSPENSION VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY TURNING OFF THE AIR
SUSPENSION SWITCH LOCATED IN THE RH KICK PANEL AREA. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED
INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS WHICH MAY RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE
OPERATIONS.
1. If equipped, turn the air suspension switch off.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the drain plug and drain the engine oil.
4. If equipped with an oil cooler, remove the two nuts and disconnect the remote oil filter adapter from the oil cooler.
5. If the vehicle is not equipped with an oil cooler, disconnect the oil pressure sender electrical connector.
