PROCEDURE.  Refer to: Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming.

6. With the restraint system diagnostic tools installed at all deployable devices, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS).

WARNING:  THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TOOL IS FOR RESTRAINT SYSTEM SERVICE ONLY. REMOVE FROM
THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO ROAD USE. FAILURE TO REMOVE COULD RESULT IN INJURY AND POSSIBLE VIOLATION OF
VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS.

Safety Belt Bolt Bit

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

WARNING:  IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE BOLT/ANCHOR BE SECURELY TIGHTENED TO SPECIFICATION. OTHERWISE, THE
CHILD SAFETY SEAT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY SECURED, AND THE CHILD COULD BE INJURED IN CASE OF A SUDDEN STOP
OR ACCIDENT.

NOTE:  Inspect the seat for damage. If the seat is found to be damaged, install new seat components.

REMOVAL

1. Remove the seat backrest.

2. Remove the large bolt for the LH and center safety belt buckles and the small bolt.

Special Tools

3. Remove the LATCH assembly.

Remove the bolt.

Position the LH safety belt buckle aside.

Position the center safety belt aside.
