To remove individual parts, only carry out the listed steps:
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
5. Fill and leak test the system.
6. Check and, if necessary, align the front end.
Item 2: Intermediate Shaft Removal Note
1. Do not allow the steering column shaft to rotate while the lower shaft is disconnected or damage to the clockspring can result. If there is evidence
that the shaft has rotated, the clockspring must be removed and recentered.
Item 6: Power Steering Return Hose Removal Note
1. Remove the power steering return hose from the steering gear.
Item 10: Outer Tie-Rod Removal Note
1. Using the special tool, separate the tie-rod end from the wheel knuckle.

For reference during installation, count the turns required to remove the tie-rod.
Item 16: Steering Gear Removal Note
1. Remove the steering gear through the left side wheel opening.
Item 16: Steering Gear Installation Note
1. Install a new steering gear through the left side wheel opening.
Items 5 and 7: O-Ring Installation Note
1. Install new O-ring seals onto the power steering hoses.
