Release the pin-type retainers attaching the outboard side.

Lift up to unhook the upper retainer and remove the LH side shield.
3. Remove the screw and latch cover.

Release the retaining tabs and remove the latch cover.
4. Remove the backrest pivot bolt.

To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
5. Remove the 2 backrest latch bolts and backrest.

To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
6. NOTE: Before installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
