Removal
Vehicles with 5.4L engine
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Jacking and Lifting.
2. Release the lower cooling fan shroud position tab and rotate the shroud upward until the lower tab locks into position.
Vehicles with 4.6L engine
3. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling System &/or Engine Block Heater.
