ISSUE
Some 2009-2010 F-150 Platinum, Expedition, Navigator, MKS and 2010 Taurus, MKT and MKZ vehicles equipped with Rain Sensing Windshield
Wipers may exhibit a detached rain sensor mounting ring. The rain sensor mounting ring is attached to the inside of the windshield near the rear view
mirror. The windshield wipers will continue to function in manual mode, only the rain sensor feature is affected.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
A service repair kit has been made available to resolve this issue. Order the Rain Sensor Repair Kit and follow the instruction sheet contained with this
kit to resolve a detached rain sensor mounting ring.
NOTE
THE KIT REQUIRES CHEMICALS WHICH ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE KIT. THESE CHEMICALS HAVE A SHORT SHELF LIFE AND
ARE REQUIRED TO BE OBTAINED DIRECTLY FROM A SOURCE LISTED IN THE INSTRUCTION SHEET.
