To install, tighten the new nut to 150 Nm (111 lb-ft).
9. NOTE: Allow the steering knuckle to swing outward while keeping the halfshaft pushed inward.
Once clearance is available, remove the halfshaft outboard end and IWE from the hub bearing.
10. Remove the IWE from the halfshaft outboard end.
11. Remove the 6 halfshaft flange-to-axle shaft flange bolts.

To install, tighten to 82 Nm (60 lb-ft).
12. Separate the halfshaft from the axle and remove the halfshaft from the vehicle.
13. NOTE: Do not install the IWE in the knuckle. It must be installed on the outer constant velocity joint housing.
NOTE: Do not dislodge the IWE seal spring when installing the IWE on the outer constant velocity (CV) joint housing.
NOTE: Compress the IWE and install a vacuum cap on the vacuum port.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
