ISSUE
A "moaning" noise may be heard at approximately 1100 rpm with A/C compressor engaged on some vehicles. This may be due to pressure pulses
through the A/C hoses causing minute vibrations in the accumulator.
ACTION
Replace the suction accumulator mounting bracket with a revised suction accumulator mounting bracket. Refer to the following Service Procedure for
details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Verify concern.
2.
Inspect and verify that all A/C lines are attached at their proper locations and are not contacting other components.
3.
Reposition and adjust lines as necessary.
4.
Recheck for concern.
5.
If concern is still present, install a revised Suction Accumulator Mounting Bracket (F85Z-19D606-AA) following procedures outlined in the
appropriate F-150 Workshop Manual.
6.
Verify repair.
