Ford Motor Company is providing a no-charge Service Program, Number 96B05, to owners of certain 1997 F-150 trucks equipped with the "Off-Road"
option for the replacement of the 16-inch spare tire and wheel assembly.
No Charge Service
In response to recent owner comments regarding spare tire size, your Ford dealer will, at no charge to you, replace the existing 16-inch spare tire and
wheel assembly with a 17-inch tire and steel wheel. The new 17-inch tire size will match the other tires on your truck.
Your truck is eligible for this program through May 31, 1997, regardless of mileage.
How Long Will It Take?
The time needed for this service is less than one half day.

Call toll-free 1-800-248-0186 and inform the Ford representative that you wish to have your truck serviced under Owner Notification Program 96B05.
Representatives are available 7:30am to 7:30pm Monday through Friday and 8:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday (times are Eastern Time).
Please have this letter when you call.
The Ford representative will ask for the serial number of your truck. It is printed on the top of this letter.
Arrangements will be made with the dealership of your choice to have a replacement spare tire and wheel assembly available. The dealership will call
you to schedule a service appointment. (If you are not contacted by the dealer within two business days, call your dealer to arrange for a service
appointment.) You need do nothing else except bring your truck to the dealership on the service date.
Changed Address or Sold the Truck?
Please fill out the enclosed prepaid postcard and mail it to us if you have changed your address or sold the truck.
