F 150 4WD Pickup V8-4.6L SOHC VIN W (1998)
56. Examine the axle shaft seal and bearing surface for damage. If necessary, polish the bearing surface with fine crocus cloth.
57. Insert the axle shaft and engage it with the side gear.
58. Push in on the axle shaft and install a new snap ring.
NOTE: Do not reuse the old snap ring.
59. Install the dust boot.

Fully extend the actuator motor shaft and plug the vacuum port.

Position the actuator motor.

Install the dust boot.
