Reverse Idler Gear: Service and Repair
DISASSEMBLY
1. Disassemble the reverse idler gear.

Remove the reverse idler gear retaining ring.

Remove the spacer.
3
Remove the reverse idler gear and bushing.
4
Remove the reverse idler gear bearing.
5
Remove the reverse idler gear thrust washer.
ASSEMBLY
1. Assemble the reverse idler gear.

Install the reverse idler gear thrust washer.
2
Install the reverse idler gear bearing.
3
Install the reverse idler gear and bushing.
4
Install the spacer.
5
Install the reverse idler gear retaining ring.
2. Measure reverse idler gear end play.
