Thermostat Bypass Hose: Service and Repair

Material
Removal and Installation
1. Drain the engine cooling system.
2. Remove the intake manifold.
3. Remove the bolts and the bypass tube.

To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
4. Remove and inspect the gaskets. Install new gaskets if necessary.
5. NOTE: Clean the gasket mating surfaces with metal surface prep. Follow the directions on the packaging.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
