Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

Removal
All vehicles
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. On 4x4 vehicles, remove the front wheel opening molding.
3. Remove the front fender splash shield.
Romeo engine (4.6L)
4. Remove the nut and the brake booster vacuum hose and bracket.
5. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve to exhaust manifold tube.

Disconnect the differential pressure feedback EGR sensor electrical connector and remove the sensor.
^
Disconnect the upper and lower EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube fittings.
