6. NOTE: Make sure the wheels are in the straight-ahead position.
Remove the steering wheel.
7. Apply two strips of masking tape across the clockspring to prevent accidental rotation.
8. Twist the tilt wheel handle and shank and remove.
9. Remove the upper instrument panel steering column cover.
10. Remove the lower steering column shroud.

Remove the three retaining screws.
