Front Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair

EXTERIOR FRONT DOOR HANDLE

REMOVAL

All Vehicles

1. Raise the front door window to the closed position.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the front door trim panel.

4. Remove the bolts and the front door brace.

All Vehicles

5. Position the watershield aside.

6. Remove the bolt and position the door glass top run aside.

7. Remove the exterior front door handle.

Remove the nuts.

If equipped disconnect the actuating rod from the lock cylinder.

Release the clip and remove the exterior front door handle rod.

Remove the exterior front door handle by pushing outward from the bottom.

If equipped disconnect the electrical connector(s).
