2. Install the safety belt buckle pretensioner and usage detection switch electrical connectors to the seat cushion pan.

NOTE:  The driver side is shown, other seats are similar.

3. Position the safety belt buckle and pretensioner to the seat and install the nut.

Route the safety belt buckle pretensioner harness as noted in removal.

NOTE:  When tightening the safety belt buckle pretensioner retaining nut, make sure that the seat backrest pivot bolt does not turn with the nut.

4. Install the 60 percent seat cushion.

All vehicles

5. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.

Install the seat on the side with the affected safety belt buckle and pretensioner.

Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS).

WARNING:  TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY, READ AND FOLLOW ALL WARNINGS, NOTES,
AND INSTRUCTIONS IN THE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION/REACTIVATION
PROCEDURE.  Refer to: Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming.

With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS).  See: Air Bag(s) Arming and
Disarming/Service and Repair/Prove Out Procedure 

WARNING:  THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TOOL IS FOR RESTRAINT SYSTEM SERVICE ONLY. REMOVE
FROM THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO ROAD USE. FAILURE TO REMOVE COULD RESULT IN INJURY AND POSSIBLE
VIOLATION OF VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS.

Check the active restraint system for correct operation.

1. Dispose of the deployed safety belt pretensioner in the same manner as any other part to be scrapped.
