17. Using the special tool, verify the backlash.

The specification shown in the illustration is the total allowable range.
18. Install the axle shafts.
19. NOTE: The differential housing cover must be installed within 15 minutes of application of the silicone, or new sealant must be applied. If
possible, allow 1 hour before filling with,lubricant to make sure the silicone sealant has cured correctly.
Install the differential housing cover and tighten the differential housing cover bolts.
