Leak Detection Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister.

2. Remove the canister vent solenoid.

INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Carry out the Leak Test.  See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Component Tests/Evaporative Emission
System Leak Test

Carry out the evaporative emission repair verification drive cycle.  See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General
Diagnostics/Component Tests/Evaporative Emission Repair Verification Drive Cycle

NOTE:  Lubricate the O-ring seals with MERPOL(R) O-ring Seal Lubricant or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M99B144B.
