6. Install the transmission fluid pan bolts.
7. Remove supports and lower the vehicle.
NOTE: If equipped with air suspension, reactivate the system by turning on the air suspension switch.
8. Fill the transmission to the proper fluid level.

Use Motorcraft MERCON or MERCON V Automatic Transmission Fluid or equivalent meeting FORD specification.
NOTE: When filling a dry transmission and converter start with a minimum of 4.7 liters (5 quarts).
