Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Adjustments

ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE

1. Raise and support vehicle.

2. Disconnect the manual lever shift control cable.
3. Disconnect the digital Transmission Range (TR) electrical connector.

4. Remove the manual control lever.

Remove the nut.

Remove the lever.

CAUTION:  Discard outer manual control lever shaft nut. Do not reuse. The old nut will not retain torque specification.

5. Loosen the digital TR sensor bolts.

6. Use Digital TR Sensor Alignment Tool, to align the digital TR sensor slots.

NOTE:  Manual shift lever must be in the neutral position.
