1.
Depress the "half-moon" button on the cable adjustment housing (at engine bracket) and push the cable outer cover fully into adjustment housing.
(See Figure 21.) Release the button.
2.
Place a .125" shim (locally manufactured, see Figure 21) between the "pear-shaped" plastic fitting and the swaged-on ball slug. (See Figure 21.)
3.
Rotate the throttle lever to the wide-open position (the cable adjuster will be heard to ratchet); release the throttle lever and remove the shim. The
adjustment is now complete.
