1983-89 E & F SERIES
ISSUE:
Engine bearing failures, cylinder wall scoring or any other type of internal engine failures that produce debris inside the engine makes it
necessary to replace the oil cooler bundle. Debris from a failure that gets trapped inside the oil cooler bundle cannot be properly cleaned by
flushing the assembly.

ACTION:
In the event of an internal engine failure that produces debris, install a new oil cooler bundle, Figure 5. Replacing the oil cooler bundle will
prevent debris caused by a failure from getting back into the lubrication system.
NOTE:
DO NOT START THE ENGINE IF THE OIL COOLER BUNDLE HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED.
