Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
1.
Remove torsional damper, then pry seal out of cover.
2.
To install new seal on engines without three weldnuts on front cover, position seal into tool T83T-6700-B and install over end of crankshaft.
Install tool T83T-6316-B over installation tool and tighten nut against tool and washer to seat seal.
3.
To install new seal on engines with three weldnuts on front cover, position seal in tool T83T-6700-A and install over end of crankshaft. Attach
bridge to weldnuts and draw seal into front cover by turning center screw clockwise. Prior to installation, lubricate oil seal with
DOAZ-19584-A, or equivalent.
