Install the new air cleaner assembly being certain that the new seal, attached to the assembly, is in place.

6.

Check to see that the air cleaner drain hose is hanging freely behind the engine (not doubled under between the air cleaner tray and intake manifold
or trapped behind the kickdown rod on automatic transmission equipped vehicles). Failure to do so could result in the system not rejecting water.

7.

Tighten the wing bolt.

8.

Connect the flex hose to the new air cleaner tray.

CAUTION: The old element should NEVER be used with the new air cleaner assembly or vice versa. Such actions could result in a greater chance

of engine damage due to water ingestion.
