LIGHT TRUCK:
1994 BRONCO, F-150-350 SERIES
ISSUE:
The rocker switches for the power windows and power door locks will not return to the neutral position. The door locks will cycle continuously or the
switches will be sticky due to excess material in the gray portion of the Switch Bezel.
ACTION:
Remove the excess material from the Switch Bezel.
DETAILED SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Operate suspect switch slowly while feeling for any roughness or binding. Try to determine the exact location of the interference or at least what
side of the switch is binding.
2.
Remove the suspect switch housing bezel by removing the one retainer screw and then pulling up on the front portion of the bezel to disengage the
retainer clip.
3.
Turn bezel over and remove the switch retainer screws and remove the switch from the bezel.
4.
Carefully scrape off the excess plastic from the gray portion of the housing using a suitable tool.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN SCRAPING PLASTIC. CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN NOT TO AFFECT THE APPEARANCE OF THE BEZEL.
5.
Assemble switch to bezel and check switch for binding before installing.
6.
Install bezel and check operation of the switch.
