F 250 2WD Super Duty V10-6.8L (2009)
NOTE: Lubricate the camshaft roller followers prior to installation.
Using the Valve Spring Compressor, install the 4 originally removed camshaft roller followers.
10. NOTICE: Only use hand tools to install the camshaft sprocket assembly or damage may occur to the camshaft or camshaft sprocket.
NOTICE: Damage to the camshaft sprocket assembly will occur if mishandled or used as a lifting or leveraging device.
Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolt in 2 stages:

Stage 1: Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
11. Lubricate the balance shaft journals with clean engine oil.
12. NOTE: Camshaft sprocket removed from art for clarity.
Rotate the crankshaft clockwise until the camshaft balance shaft drive gear timing mark will align with the balance shaft timing mark and position
the balance shaft on the journals.
13. NOTICE: The balance shaft bearing caps must be installed into their original locations or engine damage may occur.
Position the 3 balance shaft bearing caps and install the 6 bolts and tighten in the sequence shown.

Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
