Special Tool(s)

Material

Removal

All vehicles 

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Remove the generator. For additional information, refer to Alternator.
3. Remove the engine cooling fan. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
4. Disconnect the crankcase vent tube quick connect coupling from the air cleaner outlet pipe-to-throttle body (TB) adapter. For additional

information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.

5. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the air cleaner outlet pipe-to-TB adapter.
6. Disconnect the wiring harness retainer from the air cleaner outlet pipe-to-TB adapter.
7. Remove the 4 air cleaner outlet pipe-to-TB adapter bolts.
8. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe-to-TB adapter.
9. Install the special tools.
