If necessary, carry out the following steps to adjust the on-center torque.
Vehicles with 6.0L diesel
10. Remove the auxiliary battery tray.
11. Loosen the clamps and remove the charge air cooler duct.

To install tighten to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).
All vehicles
12. NOTE: Rotate the meshload screw clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease.
Hold the meshload screw, loosen the lock nuts and then adjust the meshload screw to the correct rotating torque.
13. Verify that the on center torque is to specification.

Readjust if necessary.
14. Hold the meshload screw and tighten the lock nuts to 30 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
