Initially, parts will be direct shipped/seed stocked for this recall. This process will be used from launch through September 30, 1999. October 1, 1999
and after, it is anticipated the kits can be ordered through normal order processing channels. If stock level supports open orders prior to October 1, 1999,
you will be so advised via DOES II.

Excess stock returned for credit must have been purchased from Ford Customer Service Division in accordance with Policy Procedure Bulletin 4000.

Certain 1999 F-250-F350 SUPER DUTY VEHICLES
OVERVIEW

Vehicles equipped with 6-foot pickup boxes built from January 5, 1998 through March 21, 1999 will have the pickup box cable installed.
Additionally, the vehicles must also have a fuel tank mounting bracket replaced.

Vehicles built from March 22, 1999 through June 4, 1999 do not require cable installation, only bracket replacement. To perform this action, the
tank must be partially lowered from its installed position to gain access to an replace the affected bracket.
