Misfire Sensor: Service and Repair
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module
relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
2. Remove retaining screws and timing pointer.
3. Disconnect wiring and remove misfire sensor.
4. To install, follow removal procedure in reverse order. Tighten retaining screws to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in).
