Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Remove steering column.
2. Unclip wire terminal from brake shift lock actuator.

3. Remove insert plate and brake shift lock actuator by removing two screws.
4. Pry off clip.

INSTALLATION

1. Position insert plate/brake shift lock actuator assembly to the steering column and tighten the screws.

NOTE:  The clip that retains the brake shift lock actuator to the insert plate should not be replaced for service. The clip's sole purpose is an
assembly aid for the assembly plant.

2. Install the steering column.
