Brake Pedal Assy: Service and Repair
With Automatic Transmission
REMOVAL:
Disconnect Brake Master Cylinder Push Rod

Disconnect the brake master cylinder push rod.

Remove the self-locking pin.

Separate the (A) brake on-off (BOO) switch from the (B) brake master cylinder push rod.
3
Remove the brake master cylinder push rod spacer.
4
Remove the brake master cylinder push rod bushing.
Brake Pedal Assembly Removal

Remove the one brake pedal bracket bolt and four brake pedal bracket nuts and remove the brake pedal assembly.
CAUTION:Support the brake master cylinder and power brake booster in the engine compartment.
INSTALLATION:
Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt Torque Specifications

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
