Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
The fuel vapors from the fuel tank are stored in the fuel vapor storage canister.
OPERATION
When the vehicle is operating above idle, the vapors are purged from the fuel vapor storage canister into the engine for combustion. OBD II vehicle
fuel vapor storage canisters are sometimes used in pairs depending on the size or number of fuel tanks.
