BRAKES - REAR BRAKE DRAG AND/OR 
PREMATURE WEAR OF THE REAR BRAKE LININGS

FORD: 
1998-1999 F-250

ISSUE
The right rear brake may drag or the lining may wear on some vehicles. This may be caused by the parking brake cable partially actuating the brake
linings.

ACTION
Replace the right rear Parking Brake Cable with F85Z-2A635-FA and the Parking Brake Control Assembly with F75Z-2780-GC. Refer to Section
206-05 of the appropriate year F-150/250 Workshop Manual for removal and installation procedures.

NOTE

INSPECT THE BRAKE DRUMS AND LININGS AND REPLACE AS REQUIRED. REFER TO SECTIONS 206-05 AND 206-02 OF THE
APPROPRIATE YEAR WORKSHOP MANUAL FOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURES.
