Thermostat: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Partially drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the upper radiator hose.
3. Remove the water thermostat and paper gasket assembly.

Remove the bolts.

Remove the water outlet connection.

Remove the water thermostat and paper gasket assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the water thermostat.

Align the (A) notch in the (B) water thermostat and paper gasket assembly with the recess in the (C) water outlet connection.

Position the (A) water outlet connection on the (B) lower intake manifold.
3
Install the bolts.
2. Connect the upper radiator hose.
3. Fill the cooling system.
