Compressor/Pump: Description and Operation

NOTE:  The air compressor assembly contains a thermal overload circuit breaker. The circuit breaker automatically resets if tripped by excessive heat.

The air compressor assembly is a single-cylinder electric motor driven unit which consists of the compressor, an air driver and a vent solenoid. The air
compressor is powered by a relay that is controlled by the control module. The air compressor assembly is mounted in the engine compartment on the
RH side of the core support and inner fender well. The air compressor drier contains silica gel to remove moisture from the compressed air. Moisture is
removed from the drier when the system is in the vent operation. The drier is the only replaceable part on the air compressor assembly.
