BRAKE - HEIGHT SENSING PROPORTIONING VALVE - F250 (4x2) 7300-7800 GVWR
LIGHT TRUCKS 1984 F250
The height sensing brake proportioning valve (E4TZ- 2B547-A) was released for Job #1 1984 on F250 (4x2) 7300-7800 GVWR vehicles. This valve
proportions rear brake pressure in the empty-vehicle condition and provides full braking pressure to the rear brakes in the loaded-vehicle condition.
The valve is located on the number five crossmember and is activated through a linkage system that is connected to the axle housing cover of the rear
axle assembly. The following servicing procedure is suggested:
1.
Raise vehicle on hoist and allow the rear suspension and rear axle to hang in full rebound position. (Rear shock absorbers must be connected to
rear axle.)
2.
Remove both rear wheels and tires.
