7.5L engine hesitation and power sag can be caused by a plugged fuel filter. If the filter becomes restricted, the fuel system will become unbalanced.
When this occurs, more fuel flows to the return lines than to the carburetor, causing fuel starvation at peak demand.
Replace the fuel filter (9155) at the carburetor and reevaluate the vehicle to determine if the condition has been corrected; if not, check the amount of
flow at the tank. (1 qt. in 15 seconds).
