Install the bearing/tube assembly onto the transmission quill. Examine the tube routing to ensure proper installation, Figure 4.
8.
Install the clutch housing to the transmission.
9.
Reinstall the transmission.
10.
Reinstall the lever arm.
11.
Reinstall the protective rubber boot.
12.
Reinstall the slave cylinder.
13.
Reinstall the starter motor.
14.
Confirm that the high clutch pedal effort is no longer present.
15.
Check the vehicle for proper clutch operation.
NOTE:
RELUBE THE RELEASE BEARING WITH ONE GREASE GUN PUMP EVERY OIL CHANGE INTERVAL (7000 MILES GAS OR
5000 DIESEL).
CAUTION: DO NOT OVERFILL BEARING WITH GREASE. EXCESSIVE GREASE CAN DAMAGE THE CLUTCH DISC.
