TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS:
The following are instructions for adding the protective shield to the water/fuel separator.

If the vehicle is equipped with speed control, first remove the servo assembly attaching bolts from the left fender apron and set aside the servo assembly
to gain access to the separator, see Attachment I. (If necessary, refer to the Speed Control System, Section 37 in the 1984 Light Truck Body, Chassis and
Electrical Shop Manual.)
The shield required by this recall should be installed as follows:

Remove and save the bolts securing the wire metal guard and fuel/water separator to the left front dash panel.
