Oil Cooler: Service and Repair
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cables, then drain cooling system.
2. Remove fan shroud, then the fan and clutch assembly and drive belt.
NOTE: The clutch fan retaining nut has lefthand threads.
3. Remove the front oil cooler retaining bolts.
4. Raise and support vehicle, then remove Marmon clamp from the turbocharger exhaust outlet pipe.
5. Drain engine oil and remove oil filter. Do not reinstall drain plug.
6. Remove left engine mount insulator to frame attaching nut, then raise left side of engine slightly and install a one inch wooden block between
insulator and frame. Lower engine to rest on block.

7. Remove rear oil cooler attaching bolts and the oil cooler, Fig. 18.
8. Reinstall drain plug then reverse procedure to install.
