6. Measure the disc brake rotor thickness.

Replace the disc brake rotor if not above the minimum thickness specification.

7. Inspect the disc brake caliper for leaks.

If leaks are found, disassembly is required. Refer to Brake Caliper.

8. If necessary, remove the V-springs.

9. Remove the pads and rail clips.

Remove the pads.

Remove the front disc brake caliper anchor plate stainless steel rail clips.

Installation 

1. CAUTION:  Do not allow grease, oil, brake fluid or other contaminants to contact the pad lining material. Do not install contaminated pads.
