1. Position the RCM. Install the bolts.

WARNING:  THE TIGHTENING TORQUE OF THE AIR BAG RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE (RCM) RETAINING BOLTS IS
CRITICAL FOR CORRECT SYSTEM OPERATION.

2. Connect the RCM.

Install the bolt.

Connect the RCM electrical connector.

Engage the RCM electrical connector locking clip.

WARNING:  THE TIGHTENING TORQUE OF THE AIR BAG RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE (RCM) RETAINING BOLTS IS
CRITICAL FOR CORRECT SYSTEM OPERATION.

3. Install the RCM cover.
4. Connect the battery ground cable.
5. With the restraint system diagnostic tools installed at all deployable devices, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS).  See: Body and

Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming/Service and Repair/Prove Out Procedure

6. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait at least one minute.
7. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.

Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS).

WARNING:  TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY, READ AND FOLLOW ALL WARNINGS,
CAUTIONS, NOTES, AND INSTRUCTIONS IN THE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS)
DEACTIVATION/REACTIVATION PROCEDURE.

If a new RCM is being installed, configure the RCM using a scan tool.

NOTE:  When a new RCM is first installed in the vehicle, module configuration must be carried out. If the RCM is incorrectly configured,
