F 250 4WD Super Duty V8-5.4L (2009)
All vehicles
1. With the engine off, press the brake pedal several times to discharge the booster.
2. Remove the air cleaner element.
3. Remove the 2 bolts and position the degas bottle assembly aside.

To install, tighten bolts to 19 Nm (168 lb-in).
4. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch electrical connector.
5. If equipped, disconnect the speed control deactivation switch and/or the trailer brake control transducer electrical connectors.
6. Disconnect the brake tubes from the master cylinder.

To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).
Vehicles with vacuum boost
7. Remove the brake master cylinder nuts and the brake master cylinder.

To install, tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
Vehicles with Hydro-Boost(R)
8. Disconnect the power steering line from the power steering line bracket.
9. Remove the power steering line bracket/master cylinder nut and position the bracket aside by first sliding it forward and then pivoting it to the
side.

To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
10. Remove the remaining brake master cylinder nut and the brake master cylinder.

To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
All vehicles
11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Bleed the brake system.
