F 250 4WD Super Duty V8-5.4L (2009)
Removal and Installation
NOTE: SuperCab and Crew Cab vehicles with short bed frames shown, all other frame lengths similar.
1. Release the tension on the parking brake system. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Cable Tension Release See: Procedures.
2. Separate the parking brake cables at the parking brake equalizer.
3. NOTE: Only the F-450 pick-up model uses 3 frame-mounted wire form brackets. All other F-Super Duty models, including F-450 chassis cab, use
2 wire form brackets.
Remove the wire form bracket bolts from the frame rail and release the conduit from the frame guides.

To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
4. Remove the parking brake cable bracket bolt from the differential bracket.

To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
5. Remove the parking brake cable bracket bolt from the lower shock mount.

To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
6. Release the parking brake cable from the RH bracket assembly.
7. Rotate the cable 90 degrees to release it from the parking brake actuating lever and remove the cable.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
