Parking Lamp: Testing and Inspection

Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the parking lamps.
2. Visually inspect for the obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical

Multi-function switch

Headlamp switch

Electrical

Fuse

-

Damaged wiring harness

-

Loose or corroded connections

-

Parking lamp relay

-

Parking, rear or license lamp

3. If the concern is not visually evident, verify the symptom and proceed to Symptom Chart.  See: Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
