Fuel Tank Mounting Straps: Service and Repair
High-Lift Transmission Jack
SPECIAL SERVICE TOOLS
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
NOTE: Only the midship fuel tanks have support straps separate from the fuel tank. Aft of axle fuel tanks have support straps that are part of the
fuel tank assembly and are not serviced separately.
2. If equipped, remove the fuel tank skid plate.
3. Position a High-Lift Transmission Jack under the fuel tank.
4. Remove the bolts.
